When I started as a travel agent at just 17 years old, the travel industry looked very different!

We hand-wrote every airline ticket.
We stamped brochures with our agency name & address.
The fax machine was our lifeline.
Credit cards were processed with a good old-fashioned "click-clack" imprint machine.
Five of us shared just one computer.
Smoking was still allowed on planes.
And I proudly drove my trusty burgundy Ford Fiesta 1.1.

Fast forward 35 years, and almost everything about travel has changed. But one thing hasn't...

I have always loved travelling, as a child I was taken abroad, then starting as a young travel agent with an independent; Alec Bristow Travel in 1991, selling everything from UK breaks to luxury hotels & even Concorde once. I only really knew of the QE2 then, and my colleague was lucky enough to win a trip on her - I was so jealous!
I worked with all the big agencies; Thomas Cook, Lunn Poly, & Going Places, and even did a stint at Teletext Holidays.

Then cruises became more mainstream, and in that time, I fell in love with the concept of cruising. I became a cruise specialist before stepping foot on a ship. I mean, what other kind of holiday lets you explore multiple incredible destinations in luxury and comfort, all while only unpacking once?

Luxury travel should feel personal…from the very first conversation. I don't believe in package holidays - The last one I took was in the early 90’s, and since then I have tailor-made my own holidays to work around me. This is how I work for you. As my career has evolved, so too has the way I like to travel. Seeing the world authentically & immersively, without the crowded decks & theme park distractions. I’ve discovered the joy, luxury, relaxation, and value of small-ship cruising, and I would love to share that with you. Travel has never been more exciting, but it has also never been more overwhelming.
